Calling in laughter...

The other day I asked the universe for more laughter in my life.
I was walking home from school drop off and the thought just popped into my mind - god you haven’t properly laughed for ages.
So I said to the universe I would like more laughter in my life.
And today I got it.

Five women on a Sunday morning, sharing where life is for us right now.
There were tears of course - being a mum is just so exhausting…
Are you picking the right kindergarten? Can you get the year 3 science project and speech for the public speaking competition done in the same week? Why is it always you who has to choose what is for dinner….
And on and on it goes.
But there was also so much laughter and goodness it felt amazing for it to ripple through my body.
We were connecting through not just the drudgery and sometimes pain of our mum juggling, but also as five women that were particularly funny that morning. We pinged off each other and god it was fabulous!
It’s taken 6 years for me to find this type of connection since our move to the Central Coast.
It’s hard when you move. Whether it's a physical move or as you transition from one life stage to another. You don’t always get to take everyone along with you and it can get pretty damn lonely and confusing.
Often you don’t even know what you now need in this “new place” or what you should be asking for. I’ve leaned into the support of therapists and coaches when the friendship connections have been a bit thin on the ground.
And that’s why I love the work I do now as a coach. I get to be that support for mums as they unravel what their needs are, in amongst their juggling, and discover how they are going to ask for those needs to be met - be that from their families, themselves or even the universe.
Don’t go it alone. I’m right here. Message me for details on how we can work together. Motherhood is tough. But it doesn’t have to be lonely.
